Chennai , June 25

Trimentus Technologies, a Chennai-based company, has signed up with Hewlett Packard (HP) China, to study and improve human resources and people-based processes at HP's Global Delivery China Centre (GDCC).

Trimentus, a process improvement consulting, training and appraisal service provider, will assist the GDCC in the People Capability Maturity Model developed by the Software Engineering Institute at the Carnegie Melon University.

Globally, this is the first such process initiative within HP, said Mr Tian, Siao-Peng, Quality Manager of the GDCC.

The centre has 2,000 employees and provides product development support for HP's operations in China and neighbouring countries such as Singapore and Japan.

Language is not a major issue since most of the employees in the centre know English, he told newspersons.

According to Dr S. Ravichandran, CEO of Trimentus, the company will help modify and improve various processes in the GDCC.

Mr Ravichandran refused to give details on the financial value of the contract.
