New Delhi , June 28

Apple Computer on Wednesday launched a newly-designed MacBook, a consumer notebook featuring Intel Core Duo processor and a 13-inch glossy wide-screen display.

"Together with the 15 and 17 inch MacBook Pros, the new MacBook completes Apple's Intel-based portables line-up and replaces both the iBook and 12 inch PowerBook," the company's Product Marketing Manager - Portables, Asia Pacific, Mr E.Y. Yeo, said at a conference.

Apple's entire portables line-up now offers Intel Core Duo processors, a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing, and features such as optical digital audio input and output, gigabit ethernet and sudden motion sensor amongst others.

With prices starting from Rs 66,900 onwards, the MacBook line-up includes three models — 1.83 GHz and 2.0 GHz MacBook in a white enclosure and a 2.0 GHz MacBook in a black enclosure.
