Buying props up soya, groundnut oil

Mumbai , June 30

Refined soya oil and groundnut oil ruled higher on the local edible oils market on Friday on renewed buying enquiries. Castor seed August contracts ended higher on continued buying support.

Imported crude soya oil was up Re 1 at Rs 373 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was steady at Rs 406 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was up Rs 5 at Rs 495 per 10 kg.

Castor oil commercial grade was up Rs 2 at Rs 329 per 10 kg. Sunflower oil expeller was up Rs 3 at Rs 408 per 10 kg.

Castor seed August contracts ended up Rs 27 at Rs 1,537 per quintal over previous close on continued buying support.

Sugar advances

Sugar spot prices ruled firm on the Vashi wholesale market on Friday on some fresh buying interest, a trader said.

Small grade (S-30) was up Rs 5 at Rs 1,845-1,880 per quintal over previous day, while medium grade (M-30) was up Rs 10 at Rs 1,880-1,930 per quintal over previous close.
