Nilgiris tea estate for sale

Curzon Tea Estate, a well-known tea estate at Kodanad, near Kotagiri, in Nilgiris is up for sale. The 568.18-acre estate with tea factory in running condition is owned by a partnership firm. According to Mr P. Hari Das, Senior Advocate, the property went into arbitration because of difference between the partners. With the consent of the partners of the dissolved firm, the decision of the Arbitration Tribunal, headed by Justice E. Padmanabhan, was that the property is offered for sale in "as is where is" condition. The reserve price is Rs 12.75 crore. The tender schedule can be collected from the Arbitrator on payment of Rs 10,000 by demand draft between July 1 and August 11. Sealed tenders will be opened at 11 am on August 12 at GRT Convention Centre, Chennai.
