Employment Marketing - Retailing CBS students get placement in Pantaloon Our Bureau
Chennai , July 8 Thirty of the first batch of 75 students who have enrolled at the Chennai Business School have been placed with retail major Pantaloon, according to Ms Minnie Menon, Associate Dean, Chennai Business School (CBS). The B-school, which offers four verticals Human Resources, Retail, Telecom and Marketing Communications has secured placements in retail for 20 students with five each in human resources and marketing communication, she said. CBS also plans to offer programmes on hospitality, IT and ITES and financial services in the next academic year. The school CBS has been incubated by practicising CEOs with over "500 man years of experience in wide range industries''. The investment to set up the school was about Rs 2 crore and was internally funded. The Governing Council consists of Mr Mohan Menon, former Director, Ogilvy & Mather, Mr K. Krishnan, Executive Director, Bharti Televentures Ltd, Mr P.K. Mohapatra, President and CEO, Technology Business Sector, RPG Entreprises and Mr J.N. Amrolia, Executive Director, Ashok Leyland. Mr R.J. Shahaney, Chairman, Ashok Leyland, and Chairman of the Board of Advisors of CBS, formally inaugurated the latest entrant in the field of business education. The post-graduate diploma courses cost Rs 1.5 lakh and classes start on July 10. CBS is located on the Velacheri-Taramani Road, which links Velacheri with Old Mahabalipuram Road.
