Fastest container vessel

Hanjin Shipping is to soon put into service the world's latest and fastest containership.

Completed recently in the Ulsan yard of Hyundai Heavy Industries Ltd., Hanjin Bremerhaven will be deployed shortly on the Asia-Europe route and the transit time is expected to reduce by at least two days.

The order is part of Hanjin Shipping's long-term plan to replace more chartered vessels with owned vessels.

This is first of the eight 6,500-TEU vessels the Korean shipping giant proposes to acquire over the next two years.
