Madurai , July 9 State Bank of India (SBI) launched the distribution of free ATM cards to eligible Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders in Tamil Nadu and Pondichery, at a function organised at Melur, near here, on Saturday. "The initiative is not only to enable farmers have cash with them always and make input purchases easy but to also induce as many farmers as possible to make use of technology as their counterparts in the urban areas,' the General Manager, SBI, Chennai Circle, Mr P. Pradeep Kumar, said while inaugurating the scheme.
