NOT SOFT: A worker making rubber sheets in a plantation near Kochi. Increase in natural rubber prices by 11 per cent in a span of two months (60 per cent higher than last year) is forcing tyre manufacturing companies to hike prices of the entire range of products by 3 to 4 per cent.
