Seeds Industry & Economy - Standards & Benchmarks States - Karnataka Accreditation for Monsanto India's seed testing lab Our Bureau
Bangalore , July 12 Monsanto India Ltd's Seed Testing Laboratory in Bellary, Karnataka has been awarded an accreditation certificate from the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) for high standards in seed purity. According to a press release, this accreditation is with effect from February, 2006 and is valid for three years. The certificate takes into account purity standards in sampling, germination, physical purity and moisture testing of cereals, vegetables and other crops. The Bellary Seed Testing Laboratory is also authorised to issue ISTA International Seed Analysis certificates to seeds that are exported. The lab can also promote, research and publish technological data according to ISTA rules, said the release.
