Mumbai to observe 2-minute silence

Mumbai, July 15

Two-minute silence would be observed across Mumbai on Tuesday in memory of the victims of July 11 train bombings. Between 6.25 pm and 6.27 pm citizens have been asked to stand wherever they are and observe silence, as a mark of respect for the victims, said Ms Manisha Patankar Mhaiskar, spokesperson for the Maharashtra Government. On Tuesday, condolence meetings would also be held at the stations where the passengers were killed by the blast. The President, Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, would also be attending the meetings, she said.
