Award for Naresh Trehan

New Delhi, July 19

Dr Naresh Trehan, Executive Director, Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, has been selected for the `Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence in Public Administration and Management Sciences' for 2005. President Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam will present the award to Dr Trehan.

The award, instituted by Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi, honours every year an individual, residing in India or abroad, who is an exceptionally outstanding business leader, management practitioner, educator or institution builder for his or her sustained individual contribution of high professional order.

The honour carries a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh, a citation and a plaque.
