Mumbai blasts

This is with reference to "Mumbai blasts: Tough response missing" (Business Line, July 19).

Terrorists have failed to provoke a communal riot. But the government response is disappointing. It cannot afford to fail to crack down on the culprits. If they culprits spread to other States, it could pose a grave threat to the security of the country.

It is equally worrying that the authorities have failed to apprehend those responsible for the killing of innocent tribals in Chhattisgarh. If this menace is not curbed now it may grow to monstrous proportions.
