Kirloskar Bros eyes Rs 250-cr exports in 3 years

An export target of Rs 250 crore, expansion of the manufacturing facilities and a turnover target of Rs 1,800 crore within the next three years, is what the Pune-based Kirloskar Brothers Ltd has chalked out for itself for the current fiscal.

The Chairman, Mr Sanjay C. Kirloskar, told presspersons after the AGM that the company had recorded exports of Rs 91 crore in the first quarter.

He said the company would primarily cater to the South East Asian and African regions and added that the distribution set-up had been put in place.

First quarter net up

On the first quarter results, he said net sales rose to Rs 330.96 crore from Rs 175.58 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, registering an increase of 88 per cent. The profit after tax was Rs 39.09 crore (Rs 8.95 crore) while the profit before tax was Rs 46.37 crore (Rs 10.54 crore).
