Foods & Food Processing Ruchi Soya Q1 net up 32 pc Our Bureau
Mumbai , July 24 Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd (RSIL) has posted a net profit of Rs 10.26 crore for the quarter ended June 2006, up 31.88 per cent against Rs 7.78 crore posted in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Net sales increased by 19.43 per cent to Rs 1,127.29 crore from Rs 943.92 crore in the previous corresponding. The company's EBIDTA has grown by 44.51 per cent from Rs 23.84 crore to Rs 34.45 crore for Q1. Mr Dinesh Shahra, Managing Director, Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd, said, "We are pleased to announce yet another improved performance for the quarter. Consistent attention on manufacturing operations and strong focus on branded segment have contributed significantly to our performance." The company hopes to achieve better results in the future in view of supply chain initiatives oriented towards business process integration and value maximisation. Shares of the company closed at Rs 257.90, down 2.26 per cent from Friday's close of Rs 263.85 on BSE.
