The Ludhiana-based Nahar Industrial Enterprises Ltd (NIEL), which is into spinning, weaving, fabric, garments and sugar, has recorded a 35.34-per-cent jump in net profit at Rs 19.29 crore for the first quarter of 2006-07. NIEL's revenue during the period was up 16.7 per cent at Rs 203.30 crore against Rs 174.20 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, a company release said.
