IGL Q1 net up 37 pc

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), the sole supplier of compressed natural gas and piped natural gas in Delhi, registered an overall growth of 37 per cent in profit after tax for the first quarter of the current fiscal.

According to a statement issued by the company, its net profit for the quarter ended June 2006 increased to Rs 27.63 crore from Rs 20.24 crore during the same period previous year.

During the period, the company registered an increase in sales value by 19 per cent in the financial terms over the corresponding period previous year.
