Challenge continues Indications are that Mr Manjit Singh would continue to challenge the probate of the Will filed by Mr Analjit Singh at the Tis Hazari Court. Mr Manjit Singh has been claiming his share from the assets, including immovable properties and shares of more than 30 companies, held by his late father.
New Delhi , July 31 The Ranbaxy chief, Mr Malvinder Singh, and his uncle, Max Healthcare Chairman Mr Analjit Singh, on Monday said they have settled their disputes over the contents of the registered Will of Ranbaxy founder Bhai Mohan Singh. Bhai Mohan Singh's second son Mr Manjit Singh, however, was not party to the settlement. Mr Malvinder Singh, his brother Mr Shivinder Singh and mother Ms Nimmi Singh, representing the Dr Parvinder Singh Group, and the Max chief, Mr Analjit Singh, in a joint statement said that the two sides have reached an "amicable and final settlement with respect to all pending litigation, claims and disputes." Following the settlement, all 33 complaints and suits, some of which go back to early 1990s, in various courts are in the process of being withdrawn, the statement said. According to the statement, while all pending family matters had been "amicably resolved and settled", the only pending matter that remained was the acceptance of Dr Bhai Mohan Singh's registered Will by Mr Manjit Singh. In this regard, Mr Analjit Singh said, "I hope we can resolve this outstanding matter as well in the interest of overall peace and harmony for the family." Indications are that Mr Manjit Singh would continue to challenge the probate of the Will, which had been filed by Mr Analjit Singh at the Tis Hazari Court. Mr Manjit Singh has been claiming his share from the assets, including immovable properties and shares of more than 30 companies, held by his late father. As per the settlement reached between the other two parties, all disputes and claims pertaining to Delhi Guest House, properties at Aurangazeb Road and South End Lane; Ranbaxy shares; and the full acceptance of Dr Bhai Mohan Singh's Will have been fully resolved.
