Bond prices end flat

Our Bureau

Mumbai, Aug. 2

Bond prices ended flat as there was little buying interest in the market. The total traded volume on the order-matching system was low at Rs 665 crore. Dealers said yields could harden further in the run-up to the Rs 9,000 crore government securities auction. The `when-issued' trading of the government securities that would be to be auctioned on August 8 did not see much volume. The 7.59 per cent-10 year-2016 paper opened at Rs 95.39 (8.29 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 95.39 (8.29 per cent YTM), slightly lower than Tuesday's Rs 95.36 (8.29 per cent YTM). The 9.39 per cent-5 year-2011 paper opened at Rs 105.85 (7.93 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 105.83 (7.92 per cent YTM).
