Sixth Pay Commission

This is with reference to "Sixth Pay Commission: A financial noose round Government neck? (Business Line, August 4): With the growth of the IT sector, the salary in the private sector has increased. The Government also needs talented people. If it can improve performance and efficiency, better the work culture, eliminate delay and corruption with technological innovation and procedural changes, then it is worth it. Incentive for better performance or promotion policy based on it could be considered. But the main problem is the widening gap of the income between the organised sector and the farm sector.
