TCS quiz for school students

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Aug. 11

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will host its inter-school IT quiz in Hyderabad on August 19. It is open to school students from Class 8 to 12. The city is the eighth centre where the quiz is being held this year. The winners of each of these cities — Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi, Pune, Delhi, Lucknow and Hyderabad would be participating in the national finals to be held in Mumbai on December 16, according to a press release from TCS. Aimed to promote IT literacy and awareness among youth, TCS launched the quiz in 1999. Teams should consist of two members. The regional winners in each city will get a laptop and flight tickets to Mumbai for the finals. The runner's up would get a nano ipod each.
