New Delhi , Aug. 17

The second leg of the now biannual Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week will begin on August 30.

Announcing the dates of the event on Thursday, the President Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), Ms Ritu Kumar, said, "All fashion is cyclic around the world and that is how it is going to be in India. Doing two events was inevitable." The fashion event will have 73 designers and 160 buyers. A sixth day (September 4) has been added to the fashion week that will be dedicated to business and would not have ramp shows.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director-General, FDCI, Ms Rathi Vinay Jha, said, "The council will soon commission a study for determining the size of the industry and the growth pattern."
