Rubber Spot rubber rules steady Aravindan
Kottayam , Aug 22 Spot rubber prices continued to rule steady on Tuesday. According to dealers, the market activities were in an extremely low pace lacking quantity buyers or sellers in the main trading centres. There were marginal enquires from the covering groups at lower levels to fulfil their weekly commitments. Sheet rubber closed static at Rs 92.00 a kg both at Kottayam and Kochi as on Monday.
Futures improve
The rubber futures ruled marginally better on NMCE though the international markets were not promising. The near month September contract was quoted at Rs 90.90 (Rs 90.68), October contract at Rs 87.75 (Rs 87.66), November at Rs 87.64 (Rs 87.20) and December contract at Rs 88.14 (Rs 87.40) per kg for RSS 4. RSS 3 declined to Rs 99.94 from Rs 100.13 a kg at Bangkok . The September futures for the grade slipped to 243.1 Yen (Rs 97.35) from 243.3 Yen a kg at TOCOM. Spot prices per kg were: RSS-4: Rs 92 (Rs 92); RSS-5: Rs 89 (Rs 89); ungraded: Rs 86 (Rs 86); ISNR 20: Rs 89.50 (Rs 89.50) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 72.61 (Rs 72.61).
