INNOVATIVE MARKETING: Fruits being displayed in a novel way at a fruit stall in Chalakkudy, Kerala. Varied agro-climatic conditions in the country offer opportunities to the growers to produce different fruits. India is the second largest producer of fruits in the world, with a nine per cent share. However, exports and productivity are hampered by absence of stringent quality standards and lack of quality consciousness.
