Hyderabad, Aug. 26

International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (Icrisat) has joined hands with the University of Florida to offer a short course on applications of Geographical Information Systems in land resource management for practising professionals, extension officers and students. The flexible course would allow the participants to accumulate credits at their own pace and pay fee in their respective national currencies. According to Dr William Dar, Director-General of Icrisat, the pact would evolve collaborative educational programmes using e-technologies to support extension, outreach and in-service training programmes.
