Flood impact

Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Rajasthan have been affected by floods. Its actual impact on people, cattle, crops and property is not known. Every year property worth thousands of crores of rupees is lost due to floods. It would be wise to improve the information systems so that steps can be taken to minimise damage to life and property.
