Airlines Industry & Economy - SSI Indian discount offer for SMEs Our Bureau
Bangalore , Sept. 2 Indian, the national carrier, has announced a discount offer to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that would entitle the American Express credit card holders from the corporates in the sector special discounts and prizes for travelling on its domestic and international routes. According to an official release, Indian has tied up with American Express for extending the benefit. The "SME Discount" launched on Friday, entitles the corporate or charge cardholders in the SME segment the benefit till January 31. In addition, Indian also offers "deep discounted fares" of up to 60 per cent announced every month on select sectors/flights operating on the domestic sectors. Based on the volume of business generated during the offer period, Indian will offer 60 free tickets for travel on its network, to winners after the scheme closes. Also on offer are 60 room nights at Trident Hotels, courtesy Amex. The discount is available on tickets purchased in Indian rupees or US dollars. Easy fares under K, T and V classes on domestic sectors have also been brought under the scheme's ambit. Cardholders will be entitled to ten per cent discount on economy class full fare ticket and 15 per cent on an executive class full fare ticket for domestic sectors. Similarly, on international sectors, ten and 15 per cent discounts would be given on carrier fares, in economy and business class, respectively. Easy fares under K, T and V classes on domestic sectors will attract a three per cent, discount, said the Indian release.
