Nissan launches X-trail basic version

Nissan has launched a basic version of X-trail, pricing it below Rs 20 lakh, while introducing a new version of the same vehicle. Nissan India's country head for marketing, Mr Neeraj Garg, told Business Line that the new variant, X-pecial, will be priced Rs 21.5 lakh (Bangalore ex-showroom price) while the higher version, Elegance, will be priced Rs 24.23 lakh. The basic diesel version of the 2.2 l X-trail will cost Rs 19.9 lakh.

He said Nissan expects to sell 100 to 300 units during the current financial year. On Nissan's plans for launching passenger cars, Mr Garg said the company is currently conducting feasibility studies across the country.
