BSE, ICSI plan corporate e-filing system

Our Bureau

Kolkata , Sept 8

The BSE and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) will jointly undertake a programme on the recently introduced e-filing system for corporates.

ICSI's Centre for Corporate Research and Training (ICSI-CCRT) will play a major role in this regard, institute sources said.

The `Corporate e-filing system - Indian Corporate Electronic Reporting System' or ICERS is aimed at distribution of information on the BSE Web site.

While it is currently possible for listed companies to file announcements and financial results, the application will be upgraded to include various compliance-related filings.

Company secretaries and compliance personnel engaged by various companies will be able to acquire knowledge for using ICERS effectively, it is pointed out.
