Rubber Spot rubber rules steady Aravindan
Kottayam , Sept. 9 Spot rubber ruled steady on Saturday. Assumptions on a possible recovery in world rubber prices in the succeeding days reduced the selling pressure from dealers and growers considerably. Sheet rubber RSS 4 closed static at Rs 83.00 a kg both at Kottayam and Kochi.
Futures dull
The rubber futures finished dull on NMCE. The September contract closed at Rs 85.98 (Rs 86.23), October contract at Rs 79.10 (Rs 79.58), November contract at Rs 78.50 (Rs 78.84) and December contract at Rs 79.34 (Rs 79.20) per kg for RSS 4. The transactions totalled 559 tonnes with 239 tonnes in September, 247 tonnes in October, 23 tonnes in November and 50 tonnes in December. Spot rubber prices per kg were: RSS-4: Rs 83. (Rs 83); RSS-5: Rs 80 (Rs 80); ungraded: Rs 77.50 (Rs 77.50); ISNR 20: Rs 79.00 (Rs 79.00) and Latex 60 per cent: Rs 67.35 (Rs 68.40).
