New Delhi , Sept. 9 The Hazira plant of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has restored gas processing operations to the levels it was at before floods forced it to shutdown. In a statement, the Corporation has said that although originally the plant was to become operational only at the end of the month, it has been achieved earlier. The gas processing unit that is the biggest in the country was shutdown on August 7. The shutdown halted supply of natural gas enroute to the 2,800-km HVJ ( Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur) pipeline that passes through Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi. The statement added that the operations were revived in a phased manner from six million standard cubic metres per day on August 18 to touch 40 million standard cubic metres per day on Friday.
