KPR Mill's Arasur unit operations by month-end

Coimbatore , Sept. 10

The new garment unit being set up as part of its Rs 493-crore capacity expansion project by the Tirupur-based KPR Mill Private Ltd is expected to start operation by this month end, according to Mr P. Nataraj, Managing Director of KPR Mill.

The garment unit which will house 1,400 garment-making machines will form part of KPR's new spinning facility being set up at Arasur near here where the company is also promoting a new spinning unit of one lakh spindle capacity.

Talking to Business Line at the sidelines of the annual general meeting of the Coimbatore Cotton Association here today, Mr Natarajan said the capacity expansion will include setting up of a modern processing unit at the SIPCOT industrial estate at Perundurai in Erode district.
