Mr Subir Raha, former Chairman and Managing Director of ONGC, has bagged the `Energy Executive of the Year' award by Petroleum Economist. The award was instituted by the London-based renowned energy journal - Petroleum Economist.

The Citation read: "The award acknowledges the efforts of individuals who have made significant improvements in the organisation and operations of their area or company as a whole in 2005, compared with 2004. The Energy Executive of the year will have made valuable contributions both to the financial success of their company and to secure the future of the company through strong leadership and strategic development."
