Pennsylvania opens office in Hyderabad

The commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a State in the US, has opened its second office in India at Hyderabad. The first office was opened in Bangalore in 2001. The Hyderabad office has been opened due to increasing interest in investment activities in the commonwealth by Indian companies, as well as the State seeking new foreign direct investment to secure jobs and capital. Mr Raj Devireddy, is the Representative Director for the state.
It will assist any company that wishes to expand into Pennsylvania in all matters related to business set up plans, rules and regulations related to legal and tax aspects of setting up a company, assist in prospecting new relationships and immigration-related matters at no cost to the prospective investing company, Mr Devireddy said in a press release here on Thursday. The US State is inviting companies from life sciences, high technology, advanced manufacturing and materials and business services. It is the second largest destination in the northeastern US and is home to approximately 5,860 foreign-owned companies.
