Andhra Bank hikes deposit rates

Andhra Bank has announced an upward revision in interest rates on domestic term deposits. In a press release here, the bank said the new rates would come into effect from September 15. While the rate on deposits below Rs 15 lakh for 7-14 days remained unchanged at 2.75 per cent, the rate for 15-45 days is increased to 4.5 per cent from 4.25 per cent. For 46-90 days, the rate is increased to 5 per cent (4.75 per cent), 91-179 days to 5.75 per cent (5.5 per cent), 6 months to one year is at 6.25 per cent (6 per cent) and for 1-3 years, the rate is 7 per cent (6.5 per cent).
