Opportunities for management grads

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Sept. 17

Business management graduates on Sunday have a whole lot of new job and career opportunities in sunrise sectors such as consulting, investment banking, telecom, insurance, market research, retail, international business etc.

While MBAs are not confined to traditional sectors, it is desirable that they go for entrepreneurship and establish business venture and become job providers than job seekers, said Prof A. Vidyadhar Reddy, Dean Faculty of Management, Osmania University, here.

Speaking at a career guidance meet organised by the IQRA Society, he said getting a job in the private sector should not be the sole aim of the MBAs.

The sector offers only 7.88 million jobs, or a meagre 2.51 per cent of the total employment scenario in India.
