Hyderabad, Sept. 18

Satyam Computer Services Ltd and the University of Melbourne (MU) have signed a memorandum of understanding that will seek to increase opportunities for technology students and businesses. The MoU was signed by the Satyam CEO, Mr Rama Raju, and Prof Vijoleta Breach-Maksvytis, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of MU, in the presence of the Minister for Consumer Affairs and Information and Communication Technology, Ms Marsha Thomson. According to Mr Virender Aggarwal, Director, Satyam, "the alliance will enable up to 10 MU students to undertake a software development internship with Satyam each year. Additionally, Satyam will recruit 20 software engineers from the university every year." Both will invest in research and IT solutions such as grid computing.
