RPG Transmission: Charged up

RPG Transmission, which clocked trading volumes of 1.60 lakh shares on the BSE, is expected to log a 58 per cent CAGR in revenues for the 2006-08 period. At the current price, the stock trades at roughly 9.9x and 6.6x fiscal 2007 estimated and fiscal 2008 estimated earnings respectively. The company, market players say, has developed expertise for design and construction of power lines as well as capabilities for railway electrification. The government's plan to improve transmission capacity manifold should bode well for the company. For the latter, the order book position is looking up. The current order book of Rs 300-crore-plus is 1.9x fiscal 2006 revenues. This will provide visibility in revenues for the next few years, it is felt. The stock closed at Rs 156.65 on the BSE.
