Coimbatore , Sept. 19

WNS (Holdings) Ltd, the parent company of WNS Global Services, has strengthened its position in the travel services space with the acquisition of PRG Airline services. However, the company sources declined to disclose the acquisition cost.

The Chief Executive Officer of WNS Travel Services, Mr Anup Gupta, said this strategic acquisition coupled with the new travel client win would add to its strength and position. WNS has, according to a release, completed the acquisition of business assets of PRG Airline Services Ltd, previously the Airline Revenue Recovery Division of PRG-Schultz International Inc.

Expanding revenue

The acquisition, besides expanding WNS's revenue accounting and recovery services through the software platform — Verifare, is expected to minimise revenue leakage through a comprehensive audit of airline fare, sales and usage data.

WNS team now includes 13 senior travel industry and technology specialists from PRG Airline services. WNS also disclosed that a multi-year partnership with a leading North American Airline to provide revenue accounting and audit services followed the acquisition of PRG Airline.

The company provides the travel industry with over 120 services, including sales and reservations, revenue management, travel operations and fare filing.
