Online Marketing Industry & Economy - Cars Info-Tech - Internet Porsche lets you customise your car Mayur N. Shah
Mumbai , Sept 19 As a car enthusiast, you always dreamt of customising your car. Porsche is ready to make that dream come true. Porsche, through nationwide dealers Shreyans Motors Private Ltd, has set up an India-dedicated Web site (www.porscheindia.com) making available most Porsche models and its add-ons. It will be one of the first auto Web sites with the option to customise each and every model with a diverse range of Porsche cosmetic and technical kits. Within the site, the `build your Porsche' feature is an important online marketing tool for every country where the auto major has a presence. For India, the tool will be officially launched in two months, said Mr Ashish Chordia, COO, Shreyans Motors. Porsche lovers or prospective buyers can customise their cars brought under the CBU (completely built unit) route. Every accessory and part mentioned in the list will have its Indian price to be charged to the ex-showroom cost of the vehicle, giving an indication of the total cost of the customised vehicle. The buyer then has the option of sending the order over to the respective authorised Porsche dealer for further process. Enhanced features of the site include 3D and 2D view of the interior and exterior of the car. With this feature, the user can view the changes ordered, apart from selecting the add-ons to enhance the look of the vehicle. DaimlerChrysler India's Website (www.mercedes-benz.co.in) was the first auto Web site to introduce the `build your car' feature for the Indian market.
