Andhra Bank, CIHL tie up for study loans

Andhra Bank has announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Consortium of Institutions for Higher Learning (CIHL) in the presence of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, here on Thursday.

The Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director, Mr K. Ramakrishnan, and the CIHL Director, Mr K.C. Reddy, have exchanged the MoU agreement.

According to a bank press release, the agreement enables the students getting admission into the 21st Century Gurukulam to secure education loans at concessional rates for pursuing PGDIT and MSIT courses.

The bank said it has so far extended education loans to 51,020 students with a sanctioned outlay of Rs 1,130 crore and outstanding portfolio of Rs 771 crore.
