Vipul to develop 500 acres of townships, commercial projects

The Gurgaon-based real estate player Vipul Ltd is developing about 500 acres of residential and commercial spaces across the country. The projects include three integrated townships and two IT parks.
"We are developing a township in Gurgaon spread over 150 acres and two others of 120 acres each in Ludhiana and Faridabad. We will launch the Faridabad project in three to four months," said Mr Brijesh Bhanote, Senior General Manager-Sales, Vipul Ltd, on the sidelines of the company's press conference to announce their villa project in Gurgaon. The company is developing an IT special economic zone in Maharashtra in 70 acres and another one in Kolkata in 7 lakh sq. ft. "We are also developing a hotel-cum-mall in Amritsar, apart from other projects for offices and malls," said Mr Bhanote.
The company on Tuesday announced the launch of its 51-acre project in Gurgaon Tatvam Villas. The project, to be completed by March 2009, entails construction of 290 villas, each of 288-960 sq. yards. The villas will be priced between Rs 1.87 crore and Rs 5 crore, aggregating to Rs 750 crore. The total project cost for the company is Rs 500 crore, of which Rs 250 crore has already been invested, according to Mr Bhanote.
