Lifestyle show offers world-class ambience

Contemporary and chic. World-class ambience. Good variety to choose from and so on were some of the remarks from regulars and first timers at the annual `Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show'here.

The show, second in the series of the alliance of the two media majors, The Hindu and The Eenadu Group, began with style and élan on Thursday with Assembly Speaker, Mr K.R. Suresh, inaugurating the show and Actor Poonam Bajwa of the Telugu film Boss fame adding a dash of glitz and glamour.

The four-day show is being held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre at Madhapur.

The major attraction was the radio partner, Big 92.7 FM, the new FM channel of Adlabs, conducting a ground event. The question-answer session conducted live by R.J. Sneha triggered enthusiasm amongst the visitors, who were also gifted with some goodie bags.

Seimens stall, too, has an every hour lucky dip prize scheme.

The event, managed by I Care Communication, is presented by Digital Technologies Ltd (DTL). I Care Managing Director, Mr Rais, said, "Wonderful response. Today there has been a 10 per cent increase in number compared to last year's day two." With a total number of 330 stalls, the expo features top international brands covering a wide variety of consumer durables.

"The show is great. Different from the regular stuff, very classy, very elegant and very contemporary. The Centre, too, is world-class. Who would not want to shop in such an ambience? We came here last year too," said the young brother-sister duo of Shashi and Sravanti, owner of a software firm Mentor, and a housewife, respectively.

Residents from not only the close-by Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills locality thronged the venue, but also from the far end of the twin cities. According to Mr Immanuel, General Manager, Eenadu, "Today itself the sales of tickets have been around 10,000 and over the weekend they are definitely going to touch huge figures."
