Awards & Honours Award for BEML chief Our Bureau
Bangalore , Sept. 30 The Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) Chairman and Managing Director, Mr V. RS. Natarajan, has been conferred the `Outstanding CEO Award' by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE). He received the award at the ongoing IIIE annual convention here from Mr Jaithirth Rao, CEO of MphasiS Ltd. A BEML release said the award recognises Mr Natarajan's efforts in raising the overall performance of the company. Mr Natarajan, who took charge four years ago as the head of the Rs 2,200-crore company, has been credited with bringing in the metro coaches technology to work in the Indian context, introducing organisational restructuring and creation of strategic business units for improving efficiency, productivity and profitability of the company.
70% final DIVIDEND
BEML has declared a final dividend of 70 per cent over an earlier interim dividend of 30 per cent for 2005-06, taking it to a total of 100 per cent on the paid-up capital.
