Multiplex benefits

This is in reference with the article "The Multiplex Multiplier Effect" (Business Line, September 27). The author is right to call multiplexes "the temples of youth." Though private entities do not always care for poor, they have created indirect benefits. If the State and local governments are able to recognise the significance of malls, it could create a new way of helping the poor. The marketing possibilities can also be an eye opener to self-help groups.
