H&R Johnson to invest in Rajkot unit

H&R Johnson (I) Ltd, plans to invest Rs 100 crore in its Rajkot vitrified tile unit. The investment would expand the current capacity of the plant from 65,000 sq ft per day to 2,20,000 sq ft per day by April next year, according to a release by the company.

Following the capacity expansion programme, the facility is expected to contribute an annualised turnover of Rs 250 crore. Besides catering to the domestic market, the new capacity at the Rajkot unit will also focus on servicing the company's export requirements. Its current export contribution is approximately Rs 10 crore and the company expects it to grow to Rs 50 crore in the next two years, according to the release.
