Force10 Networks expanding

Our Bureau

Chennai, Oct. 16

Force10 Networks, a US-based information technology networking company, is expanding its Chennai-based research and development-cum-technical assistance centre to 150 people from the present 90 people over the next year. It also plans to market its products in India, according to Mr Gary Jackson, Vice-President, Asia Pacific Sales, Force10 Networks. The Chennai centre will develop a new product - a security device-cum-switcher/router. This will bridge the gap between Force10's existing range of standalone security devices, switches and routers, said Mr Jackson. The centre will continue to work in areas like R&D and information technology hardware development. The centre will also market products in India. "Force10 builds Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks to support high-speed data transfer.
