IIM-K deploys Fortinet tool

Security firm Fortinet announced that Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM-K) has deployed its security platform to protect its campus-wide network. Fortinet partner Nortech was instrumental in the deployment, which included a FortiGate-500 multi-threat security appliance and FortiReporter security reporting and analysis software. IIM-K's campus is connected to the Internet and research and academic networks such as RENNIC and ERNET via a 512 Kbps leased circuit from BSNL, with a 2MB ISDN line from BSNL and a 64 Kbps VSAT link as backup.
