Coconut farmer

This is with reference to "Water management: Where every drop counts" (Business Line, October 24): Mr S. Natesan's relentless pursuit to save water will serve as a model for others.

His monsoon season activities that includes digging of pits to collect rainwater and mulching the pits with dry coconut palms during summer is interesting. Growing 500 varieties of coconut trees in just 26 acres is a unique achievement to the farmer's credit.

N. Vijayaraghavan

Chennai
