Book on 50 yrs of banking growth in Karnataka

A book on 50 years of banking development in Karnataka — authored by Dr N.K. Thingalaya, economist — will be released on November 2.

A press release by Corporation Bank Chair in Bank Management at Mangalore University said here on Monday that `Karnataka: 50 years of banking development' will be released at the university on November 2 at 3.30 p.m.

Mr B.R. Bhat, General Manager of Corporation Bank, will preside over the function. Being published to mark the `Suvarna Karnataka' celebrations, the book will be the fifth publication of the Chair, the release added.

Another release by the Nitte-based Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management said here that Mr N.V. Hegde, President of Nitte Education Trust, will release the book at Nitte in Udupi district at 9.30 a.m. on November 2.
