Opinion - Letters
Social conscience

This is with reference to "Laws deprive the deprived" (Business Line, October 30).

The article was touching. Some employers know exactly how to exploit children under the age of 14. Poverty and neglect drive children to resort to odd jobs in matchstick factories, pickle manufacturing and beedi making units, milk supply, grocery shops and hotels.

In addition to laws, a change of mindset is necessary.

N. Vijayaraghavan
